You know you want one...

About a month ago on the last Friday in April, a group of us met for a morning swim.  London Fields Lido at 7am.  A heated outdoor 50m pool in the east end of London.

One problem...  We had never met before.  This was a Twitter #swim tweetup.  How would we recognise each other?

The suggestion?  Swim Caps!

Well, on that day the caps were not ready, and the swim cap idea was nothing more than an idle thought, tweeted.

Until now...

Now, that idle tweet has been transformed into reality.  Thanks to a wonderful illustration by Pascquale D'Silva, be prepared to recognise your fellow Twitter #swim lovers...

If you would like a Twitter #swim cap, white with the above graphic, please email me your postal address.  The order will take approximately 5 weeks to fulfil and then I will be mailing the caps out.

I ask for nothing in return.

Well, ok, it would be great if you considered making a donation to my chosen charity this year, the Charcot Marie Tooth Association STAR fund - seeking a cure for CMT1A, a progressive degenerative nerve disease that impacts 1 in 5000 people, including me.

Many people with CMT cannot be active, so each time you put on your Twitter #swim cap, it will enable you to be spotted by other swim lovers who tweet, and it will honour those amongst us who cannot be as active as we would like to be.  Donations will help in the search for a cure so that some day more people have the opportunity to be as active as they wish.

Of course, you do not need to donate to CMT STAR to get a cap.  It is entirely your choice.  But it would be great if you did.

Email me your details  donna@myfitnessyear.com

Make a donation to CMTA STAR if you want via the secure pages dedicated to my fundraising.

And thanks for your support - see you at the pool!
